CRAIG STEVENS - HEAD COACH
ELITE SQUAD
Combination of State and National Athletes
Run for 90 minutes, with both morning and afternoon sessions.
Core fitness, strength and flexibility training is required at this level.
The senior squad is for advanced swimmers, with no age restrictions. The main focus of this squad is swimming endurance and preparation for competition.
DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
Combination of the Junior and Senior Squad Athletes
Run for 75 minutes, with the options of morning or afternoon sessions.
At this level all stroke techniques are refined and there is more focus on endurance. To gain full benefit from this squad, athletes are suggested to attend between 1-6 sessions a week. When the coach is satisfied that the swimmer is ready to advance the athlete will progress to the Elite Squad.
MINI SQUAD
Swimmers looking to progress or stay fit
Run for 45 minutes in the afternoons.
Mini squad encourages participants to advance further through the introduction of butterfly, starts, turns, and finishes. These skills are essential for competitive swimming. There is also a concentration on the building stamina, and the fine tuning each stroke.
SURF & TRI
Regularly competes in surf or triathlons. Swimming to maintain fitness to compliment surf/ craft or run/ bike.
Endurance based training to gain maximum strength & aerobic fitness.
MASTERS SQUAD
Social or aussie masters competitors. More skills based, lots of drills to concentrate on technique along with different types of sessions to work all fitness levels.
