
CRAIG STEVENS- HEAD COACH - ELITE SQUAD
Retiring from competitive swimming in Jan 2009 Craig was looking for a new challenge and directed his focus towards coaching. His vision is to develop the squad at SSLC to have a number of national and international champions.He is developing programs that encourage and nuture students from Learn to Swim to the elite level.Throughout his swimming career Craig was coached by AIS Tracey Menzies who is now one of his mentors. Craig is involved with the devepment of the Sans Souci Sea Devils Swim Club. The club will call the Sans Souci Leisure Centre its home with all training and coaching held at the centre.

CRAIG CHANTLER - ASSISTANT HEAD COACH -PERFORMANCE SQUAD
Began teaching learn to swim in 2002 and squads, including junior development, state and masters swimmers, in 2005 after having a keen interest in swimming as a youth. Craig started his coaching career in 2007 with the Maroney Swim Team.
Throughout his coaching career, Craig has been mentored by Tracey Menzies and has learnt many skills for the advanced development of swimmers. He aspires to develop and nurture athletes in a similar style to that of Tracey.
Qualifications include: Austswim, Bronze Coaching Licence, Senior First Aid
Craig is also a PDHPE teacher at Cronulla High School, and a volunteer as a scout leader with 2nd Caringbah scout group. Away from the pool he is a keen water-skier.
CRISTHIAN MOLENDOWSKI - DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
Cristhian is an experienced athlete in still and open water swimming races and lifesaving events. With more than 10 years of experience as a swimming coach in Argentina, Cristhian became part of the swimming coach staff of SSLC, where he has been working as a lifeguard since 2009. He has competed in various state and national swimming championships in Argentina over the last 15 years and has competed twice representing his country at the World Life Saving Championships; Viareggio, Italy 2004 & Lorne, Australia 2006. Cristhian currently competes for Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club and is a keen triathlete racing in different triathlons and aquathons along Australia.

SCOTT JACKSON - DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
Scott has completed his Junior Squad and Assistant Coach’s Courses through ASCTA. Scott coached junior squads at Caringbah Leisure Centre under Kevin Neilson from 2006. Scott has coached junior squads for the South East District Development camps and has coached several school groups in his coaching career. Scott is a current National level swimmer in the 5km and 10km distances. His coaching goals are aimed towards helping swimmers achieve to the best of their ability at all levels of swimming.

BOB MOYLAN - MINI / DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
Bob Moylan coaches both Mini and Development Squads. He provides private instruction to squad members when necessary to sharpen their individual skills. He works closely with the other coaches to ensure the squad programme is one of the best in the St George and Sutherland Shire Regions.
Bob has eight years of surf coaching experience at Elouera Surf Lifesaving Club and is an active Lifesaver on the beach each summer. He has completed the Jr Squad and Assistant Coach Courses through ASCTA.
An avid athlete, Bob trains daily and conducts conditioning sessions for both Squads. The sessions boost core body strength. In addition to his role with the leisure centre he volunteers as the Athlete Development Officer for the Sans Souci Sea Devils Swim Club.
Bob enjoys working with kids of all ages. His goals are to assist them in reaching their full potential in the pool and to boost their confidence in all areas of their lives.
The Mini Squad programme has grown tremendously and now has over 70 students. Many athletes have gone on to work with Bob in Development Squad including many of his Elouera surf swimmers.
TIANA RUSSELL - MINI SQUAD
Tiana began teaching in 2006 and coaching in 2007. She has had a long history in swimming and enjoys every minute of coaching the kids at Sans Souci Leisure Centre.
Tiana is a sought after coach and her firm approach sees her students excell quickly.

KEVEN NEILSON - SURF AND TRI
Kevin has been a Coach since 1980. Beginning at the Cronulla Sports Complex and moved to Caringbah Leisure Centre in 1983. Established Neilson Swim School in 1986.
Kevin’s interest in coaching began after he spent 4 years on a swimming scholarship at the University of New Mexico. After retiring from competition he coached in the US at the Albuquerque Swim Club. When Kevin returned to Australia in 1979 he knew he wanted to pass down his wealth of knowledge about coaching from his experiences in the US.
An elite competitor himself winning the Australian SLSA Surf Race Champion 2 times, the Australian SLSA Junior Surf Team Champion – 2 times and numerous NSW Surf Titles. Kevin also competed in Stillwater events winning many state titles and placing at National level. He was also a Member of SLSAustralian and SLSNSW Teams in 1969,1970. He is highly qualified and respected in the swimming and surf life saving fraternity. He has his:
- Level 3 SLSA Coach
- Level 2 – Silver ASCTA Coach
- Royal Life Saving Society of Australia Bronze Medallion
- SLSA Bronze Medallion, Advanced Resuscitation Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Instructors Certificate.
Kevin has received many prestigious awards over the years. Namely lately:
- Cook Community Award 2008 – inaugural award
- Coach of the Year SLSA 20073
- Coach of the Year Award SLSNSW 2007 and 2008
- One of the 100 Faces of the Sutherland Shire in 2006
- He has also been rewarded with life membership of Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club and Surf Life Saving NSW
- Winner of Len Saville Awards in instruction and training 1991/92 Cronulla SLSC Inc
- Winner of “ Most inspirational member “ – Cronulla SLSC Inc
Kevin has been the head Coach at Caringbah Leisure Centre for over 20 years and during that time has guided many pool swimmers, surf lifesaving competitors, open water swimmers (including English Channel swimmers), water polo players, masters and recreational swimmers to achieve their potential. Kevin was also a founding member of Cronulla Swim Club when they started at Caringbah Pool and has been on the Committee of the Club for 20 years. He has taken many swimmers to State and National meets with many medals won.
Kevin has also had many leadership roles in the Community namely:
