The NSW Government has announced that outdoor swimming pools in stay-at-home areas and areas of concern will be permitted to reopen from Monday 27 September 2021. In order to reopen, outdoor swimming pools in stay-at-home areas and areas of concern must have completed a COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Whilst this is being prepared and discussed with council, this is what we can expect and at this stage are aiming to open Monday 11th October 2021. Our Covid-Safe Entry Policies:

Entry

  • If staff, visitors, contractors or customers are unwell they will be refused entry into the facility. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should get tested and can return once they have a negative result.
  • Capacity at the facility, including in any pools, must not exceed one person per 4 square metres of the outdoor area of the premises. 
  • At time of writing (27.09.21), customers do not have to be fully vaccinated to attend outdoor swimming pools. Please be aware that entry requirements relating to vaccination status may change when NSW reaches its 70% vaccination milestone as instructed by NSW Gov.   • Social distancing of 1.5m in place and no loitering in public spaces.

Checking In

  • All customers and visitors are required to check in using the Service NSW app to be allowed entry.

Outdoor Gatherings

  • Groups may not gather more than: 5 people over 16 if all are fully vaccinated, not including children 12 years and younger, or
  • 2 people who are not vaccinated.
  • Social distancing of 1.5m in place and no loitering in public spaces.

Open Facilities

  • Open only for lap swimming, lane walking, leisure and recreational swimming with limited lane capacity.
  • Toilets open only, Swim & Go.
  • Learn To Swim, Aqua & Indoor Squads on pause until advised. Outdoor squads plan to be announced.

Face Masks

  • Face masks must be worn by staff and customers, unless exempt. People engaging in exercise are exempt. Lifeguards may remove masks during emergency situations and to assist with clear communication.

Cafe/Retail

  • Cafe open but only for takeaway. 
  • Browsing and trying of swimwear, goggles or accessories is not permitted.

Memberships/ Swim Passes

  • All memberships, swim passes, aqua passes, squads and LTS remain on hold
  • Entries will be subject to casual entry prices only for the time being.
